How we work
Charter coordination, not a booking form
We are a charter house: we hold the brief, shortlist the right operators and vessels, and stay on the job until the charter is finished.
A single point of contact
One coordinator answers the first email, holds the run sheet and is reachable on the day. Nothing is handed between desks.

Guest numbers, boarding point, duration, catering and budget decide the shortlist — not whichever vessel happens to be free.
Written, never assumed

The sequence
How a charter comes together
Four stages, in this order. You always know which one your charter is at.

The brief
Date, guest numbers, boarding point, duration and budget. A short call or a single email is usually enough to start.

Shortlist and hold
We approach suitable operators, compare inclusions honestly and place a tentative hold on the vessel you prefer.

Confirmation
Berth, boarding and departure times, catering, beverages, crew and cancellation terms are set out in writing and signed off.
04
On the day
Your coordinator confirms the berth in the morning, meets guests at boarding and stays contactable until the charter ends.

We work the harbour we're registered on
The Charter Society is registered in Victoria and works from Docklands, on Victoria Harbour. Boarding points along the harbour promenade, the Yarra through the city, and the bay beyond the Heads are the water we plan on every week.
That local footing is the practical part of the service: which berths take a coach, where guests can be dropped without a long walk, how long a transit really takes at 5pm on a Friday.
